Legal · Draft pending lawyer review

Agent agreement

Version: v0.1-draft · Effective: pending lawyer sign-off

1. Scope

This draft applies to licensed selling agents and buyer's agents who use Bidline to create, review, or participate in off-market property workflows. It supplements the Bidline terms of service.

2. Agent eligibility and authority

You represent that you hold the licences, registrations, agency authority, and client instructions required for the work you perform on Bidline. You must keep those details current and tell us if your authority changes.

3. Listings and access controls

Selling agents are responsible for entering accurate suburb-level listing details, choosing the right audience, and only sharing property material they are authorised to share. Bidline provides access controls and photo review tooling, but the agent remains responsible for lawful instructions.

4. Bid rounds and conduct

Agents must not mislead participants, invent interest, manipulate timing, or bypass the audit trail. Every round action should reflect a genuine client instruction or authorised agent decision.

5. Fees and settlement

Bidline does not collect deposits, commissions, escrow, or settlement funds. Agency fees and commission arrangements remain between agents and their clients unless a signed Bidline pricing schedule says otherwise.

5a. What Bidline will not do

Bidline does not sell, licence, rent or otherwise supply your buyer contacts, bidder records or enquiry data to any third party, and does not market its own or any other agent's listings to buyers you invite. Messages Bidline sends a bidder relate only to a round that bidder is participating in. Bidline does not introduce your buyers to another agent, and does not use your round data to solicit your vendors.

6. Compliance records

Bidline keeps audit logs and supporting records so agents can respond to vendor, buyer, or regulator questions. You consent to reasonable retention needed for Australian property, privacy, and record-keeping obligations.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for unverifiable credentials, suspected misconduct, regulatory complaints, security risk, or material breach. We may preserve audit records after suspension where law or legitimate compliance needs require it.

8. Contact

This is a staging draft. Final lawyer-signed agent terms will be published on this page before public launch, with a revised effective date, and Bidline sends notice of a material change to the email address on your account.
